Workshops

Workshop at Mumbai Central

The workshop at Municipal Corporation School, Gilder Road, was started in February 2011 with 12 wards and 4 teachers ably supported by some parents who worked as volunteers. At present, there are 8 teachers who help 15 wards engage in art and craft activities. These activities promote artistic abilities of the wards, improve their motor skills and also provide opportunity for livelihood generation. Apart from these art activities, therapeutic interventions are used in the form of yoga, dance, and music. The wards are also imparted life skills of daily living such as cooking, shopping, social etiquette etc.
